September’s Top Quorn Blogger Mentions!

September’s Top Quorn Blogger Mentions!

September has seen some more great coverage of our BBQ and Cookery class, as well as some delicious recipes being cooked up with our healthy protein* products. Take a look at our top blogger mentions for this month:

In September Sarah of collectiveindividualism.co.uk told us all about her experience at our cookery class, “We were promised an evening of education, good food and a few drinks; they definitely didn’t disappoint.” It really was an evening to remember with courses including Quorn Bolognese for starter made with Quorn Meat Free Mince and a red Thai Quorn Meat Free Chicken Pieces curry for main. Sarah describes the starter as being a “slightly spicy and herby version of a Bolognese and I could honestly say I would have chosen it over a meat version”

Being greedy certainly worked out well for Tracy from itsnoteasybeinggreedy.com at our summer BBQ, trying a bit of everything for “research purposes”! Tracy had never tried Quorn before and came along to give it ago. Tracy explains that our picnic eggs, an alternative to scotch eggs “probably has more flavour as the ones we tried were very herby and tasty.” After the BBQ Tracy went on to set herself a challenge: make a meat-free lasagne and see if her other half could tell the difference!

Georgina of georginadoes.co.uk is no stranger to summer BBQs having attended many with friends and family this past summer. Although Georgina was slightly hesitant at first, having had little experience with Quorn before, she quickly found her stride finding that she was “very impressed with the cocktail sausages” and enjoying the burgers and sausages which had been marinated in a tasty mango chutney. Check out our recipe here for the Sticky Skewered Quorn Sausages.

Emma of mayfairmum.com showed us how to prepare a delicious Mexican inspired stir fry using our Quorn Meat Free Fajita Strips alongside other fresh and healthy ingredients including red peppers, onions, black-eyed beans and long grain rice. “The bonus? Not only was this low in fat, high in protein and utterly delicious, there was enough to serve two adults for dinner as well as leftovers – I took a portion for lunch in the office the next day (just as delicious) and gave a small bowl to Little Chap for his tea. Even better, he found it delicious and ate it all up!”
