2014 Blog ambassadors

2014 Blog ambassadors

Quorn has recruited 7 fitness-focused bloggers to hold the position of Blogger Ambassadors for 2014. Products like Quorn Mince and Quorn Meat Free Chicken Pieces are a healthy protein source*because they’re low in saturated fat , perfect for people that lead (or want to lead) an active lifestyle!

The Quorn Blogger Ambassadors will be representing the brand this year in a number of ways including becoming contributors to the Quorn blog, sharing their active lifestyles as well as reporting on topical events and happenings.

We’d like to share a little something about each of our 2014 Blogger Ambassadors:

Helen C from casacostello.com @CasaCostello

I love a foodie challenge and am looking forward to introducing my meat-eating husband to a whole new world of cuisine. I’m a mum to 3 busy girls and want them to see a happy, healthy and hopefully trim mum - I will NOT be fat and 40! Helen plans on donning her swimming costume and goggles and cruising to fitness in her local pool.

Helen T from helsbels.org.uk @Helsieboo

I gave birth to my little girl, Rose Lene Grace on February 13th, following what was a difficult pregnancy. I had gestational diabetes and spent 16 weeks on crutches and also had problems with low blood pressure. I then suffered what was a traumatic and difficult birth and will slowly be making my way back to an active lifestyle. I'm lucky enough to have a place in the London British 10K this July and the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October, so my fitness goal is to complete both of these races - with the aid of a brand new Garmin to help me train!

Cathy from jog-blog.co.uk @jogblog

As a vegetarian for over twenty years, Quorn plays a big part in my diet as products like Quorn Mince are a fantastic alternative to meat, high in protein and low in fat. I love its versatility and use it in a variety of dishes – from lasagne, to bolognese, to shepherd’s pie; the list is endless. Because Quorn Mince is a healthy protein source*, it fits in well with my fitness goals. I’m a keen runner and cyclist and I go to the gym regularly. Learning to swim is next on my fitness goal because the last time I tried, my technique was more “trying not to drown”, than swimming, so I’m looking forward to getting some lessons from a professional.

Sarah from lifeinabreakdown.com

My mobility has declined over the past few years and with it my weight has crept up, in the latter part of 2013 I found a local country club that offered off-peak membership that was more pocket friendly and also had a pool without a deep end so if I had any problems I could always stand up at any time. This started my journey to hopefully getting a little fitter and claiming back some normality for myself.

Ayden from little-blog-of-horrors.com @hellorogue

2014 will be the epitome of a new year and a new me. My name is Ayden and I am a Lifestyle Blogger from Glasgow, and when I'm not blogging I work as a Set Designer in the Television industry. This year I am determined to improve my fitness, loose 10lbs, and stop using my hectic schedule as an excuse for not keeping healthy. I wanted to be a Quorn Ambassador to help motivate me towards my goals. I look forward to sharing my journey with you!

Rachel from stressedrach.co.uk @StressedRach

I wanted to be a Quorn Brand Ambassador because I like using Quorn as a healthy alternative to meat. I actually prefer some of the Quorn products more than the ‘real’ thing especially the sausages and burgers which the kids will eat too and have never complained about. I also need to shift some weight and with the diet plans I have followed previously I find that Quorn is easier to use in my meal planning and I do lose weight. My fitness goal is to lose weight I am not going to set a specific target as I find that puts too much pressure on me but I will know that target when I get there.

Charlotte from therunnerbeans.co.uk @charliedwatson

Hi I'm Charlie and I blog at therunnerbeans.co.uk-my goal is pace, the way to a healthier life; eating, drinking and running.  I'm currently training for my third marathon, Paris, in just a few weeks, as well as the Berlin Marathon in September where I'm aiming for a sub 4 hour finish. Before I'm 30 I'm hoping to run all 6 of the Marathon Majors- 2 down, 4 to go! My two favourite things are food and fitness, I blog about my life balancing the two, without missing out on any fun. Remember, it's all about balance!

We hope you will join us in welcoming the Ambassadors!
