Quick and easy family meals

I am all for making quick and easy meals as we do not have much time in the evenings and need to make something the whole family will eat.

My family favourite quick meal is Quorn Sausages, Smash with broccoli and cauliflower served with reduced salt gravy.

It takes around 20 minutes to make give or take a few minutes, it is tasty and filling plus it is low calorie just 139 calories for 2 sausages which is ideal if you are watching your weight. Quorn also has a great recipe for sausage and mash.

I actually prefer Quorn sausages to meat sausages and I have never had any complaints when dishing them up to the family.

Another great meal that we all love is Quorn Fajitas.

You can buy Quorn Meat Free Chicken Fajita strips from the supermarket but you can also use Quorn Meat Free Chicken Fillets. It is so simple to make, just fry an onion, peppers in low calorie oil with the chicken strips of fillets for about 7 minutes or up to 15 minutes if frozen. While frying these, prepare some salad, I usually have lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and spring onions. You can of course prepare the salad before frying if you choose to.

I lay out the wraps and add a layer of the fresh salad and once the chicken and other ingredients are ready add some of it to each wrap and then roll the wrap up.

This again is a quick and easy meal which is also a low calorie option and one which all the family will love.
