August’s Top Quorn Blogger Mentions!

August’s Top Quorn Blogger Mentions!

This month our roundup focuses on some lovely features written by the attendees of our Blogger BBQ!

The BBQ was held at The Crabtree, a lovely Victorian pub in Fulham with a gorgeous garden perfect for al fresco cooking and dining. The bloggers got the chance to try some of our picnic items: Mini Cocktail Sausages and Mini Savoury Eggs whilst sipping Pimms as the Chef cooked up the main meal of Quorn Burgers and Sausages with a choice of toppings including cheese and fried onions. Side dishes included a lovely salad selection alongside some cheeky crisps.

New vegetarian Kip from kiphakes.com told us he found our meat-free version of his favourite – cocktail sausages – to have all the flavour, but “none of the nasties or gristle” of the traditional meat option. Kip also explains that he feels Quorn is perfect for families, especially when money is tight with our meat-free options offering a quality and wallet-friendly meat alternative.

Mena from menapie.com told us that she’d recently been reading a lot of articles questioning the health risks of meat eating and “was so excited to learn more about the range and try some of their delicious products on the day.” Mena has tried her hand at cooking with Quorn more recently and produced a delicious Italian classic, a lasagne

“I could smell the sizzling Quorn food on the barbecue and I was becoming quite ravenous” says Leyla from motherhooddiaries.com, before heading up and helping herself to a burger and sausage complete with BBQ trimmings. “They tasted delicious – I can categorically say that you cannot taste the difference between a meat hot dog or burger and a Quorn hot dog or burger.”

Haydn of squibbvicious.com says that she “loved the food, and was so impressed with how everyone else around me loved it too!” A keen runner and charity fund raiser, Haydn focuses on Quorn’s healthy protein offering in her feature, mentioning how our Meat Free Chicken Pieces are quick-to-cook and perfectly versatile with each serving of 75g containing 10.5 g of protein, with only 67 calories and 1.1g of fat.
