Serve Up Some Family Fun at the Quorn Family Tennis Cup

Serve Up Some Family Fun at the Quorn Family Tennis Cup

This year, we are working in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association, the governing body for British Tennis. Together, we are encouraging more families to play more tennis and eat right as part of leading an active lifestyle. We have created the Quorn Family Tennis Cup where families can play in an informal, fun competition. Our aim is to encourage an active lifestyle which balances exercising more often and enjoying healthy, delicious food.

If your family love tennis, why not get involved in the LTA’s Quorn Family Tennis Cup? The winners of the tournament will have the opportunity to enjoy a day out at a Quorn Family Tennis Cup event held on the qualifying weekend of a pre-Wimbledon grass court tournament in June. Each pair will have the chance to play against other winners on the day as well as watch the professional players in action. Find out more from your local tennis club or from our website here.

Why an active lifestyle and Quorn products are the perfect match.

Protein-rich foods have long been popular with people that lead an active lifestyle. When you take a look at what protein does for our bodies, it’s easy to see why: protein is made up of essential amino acids, which form the building blocks of our bones, muscles and blood.

Protein, accompanied by exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle, can help you to improve muscle mass, which could help you to increase your overall strength. It can reduce the time needed to recover after a tough tennis match or workout, and it forms an essential part of the antibodies that keep you feeling healthy. It’s inside your hair and nails too, so eating plenty of high quality protein can leave you looking, and feeling, great.

Products like Quorn Mince and Quorn Meat Free Chicken Pieces are a healthy source of protein* and dietary fibre, and they are low in saturated fat too – bonus!  While eating lots of meat or drinking more milk might increase your protein intake to this level, it could also push your saturated fat count above the recommended daily allowance (RDA) so by opting for Quorn, you can still get the protein with less of the drawbacks. Quorn products can be paired with other healthy foods, like kidney beans to make delicious meals, like Quorn Chilli. Follow the simple cooking steps in our ‘how-to’ video here

If you’re not a fan of playing tennis but still want to get your hands on a pair of Aegon Championship tickets this June, you’re in luck because we’re running a competition called Quorn Perfect Serves. All you need to do is show us a pic of your cooking creation using any Quorn product. For healthy protein* recipe inspiration, just visit our website and get cooking!
