Allow me to introduce myself; I'm Cat Storey from Outside Beauty, Inside Health. I'm your typical twenty something year old balancing a busy career, a healthy lifestyle, socialising with friends and family while wanting to see the world! My blog very much captures this balancing act with a mixture of workouts, healthy recipes and advice, beauty product reviews, restaurant reviews and photos from my travels.

I started my blog 5 years ago as a place to share my passions (and escape my dissertation). Over the years it has helped change my lifestyle for the better. While at University my health was the last thing on my mind - The first was alcohol and pizza! I had an interest in health and fitness but everything I did was always a half-hearted attempt. After graduating from university my self-confidence was at an all-time low. It was around this time my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, and this combination really shocked me into looking at my unhealthy lifestyle and motivated me to make a change for good.

Over the last 4 years I have been living a healthy and happy lifestyle. My approach has always been balanced; I live by the 80/20 rule and never deny myself anything. I try everything once and as I've battled to live a healthy lifestyle I've realised that protein is very important for me - however I am not a huge lover of meat. I lived my teenage years as a vegetarian so included Quorn in my diet a lot. I am no longer vegetarian but Quorn still has a big part in my nutrition. I am intolerant to beef, lamb and duck so use Quorn to replace these meats and save me from a life of just chicken and veg! Quorn Mince is my favourite product as it is so versatile - I use it to make Bolognaise with Courgette Spaghetti and Tacos in Lettuce Leaves.

I love to keep my healthy lifestyle as interesting as possible because I bore easily. As a result you'll see me trying the latest workout regimes; Insanity, Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide, Tone It Up, Blogilates, P90X, 30 Day Shred etc. I also try new recipes every week to ensure that just because I'm eating healthy doesn't mean I have to sacrifice taste!
