Quorn Meat Free Burger & Soft Cheese Puff Pies

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 4 Quorn Meat Free Burgers
  • 500g ready rolled puff pastry
  • 6 tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • 120g soft cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten


  1. Preheat the oven to 220 c/200 c fan/425 f/gas mark 7
  2. Gently fry the burgers in the oil for a few minutes on each side until starting to brown
  3. Cut eight circles of puff pastry. I used a small bowl which was a bit bigger than the burgers
  4. Pop the pastry circles on a baking sheet. Top four of the pastry circles with mustard and the other four with a thick layer of soft cheese. Don't go right to the edges, leave at least 1 cm naked around the edge of each circle
  5. Top the mustard circles with a burger then dampen around the edge with a little water
  6. Top with a pastry lid, cheese side down and pinch the pastry all the way round to seal. Use a fork for a good seal and a nice finish
  7. Cut a couple of slits in the top to let out any steam
  8. You can make some decoration with the leftover pastry and stick on with a little water, but this is optional
  9. Whisk up the egg and brush each pie with it, then bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crisp
  10. Serve with a baked potato and salad or with spicy potato wedges and peas
