The Role

We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Manager to join our Engineering team based at Belasis site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the job holder is responsible for the maintenance management of the site in insuring equipment meets regulatory requirements and is compliant with HSE guidelines.

Key tasks & accountabilities of the role include:

  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed safely, meeting regulatory & industrial standards.
  • Develop & maintain preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment; make recommendations for improving/reducing costs based on observations.
  • Develop & maintain maintenance recordkeeping including, department costs. Manage contractors & suppliers required to support production & overall facility maintenance.
  • Develop & achieve maintenance KPIs (measure & improve reliability of manufacturing equipment).
  • Provide leadership for establishing and maintaining a safe work environment. Proactively address & correct all unsafe behaviours & conditions.
  • Experience in purchasing and ordering on SAP

Essential/Desirable skills should include:

  • Engineering qualification to HND/B Eng or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience within a chemical, fermentation or pharmaceutical environment
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Good leadership, planning and co-ordination skills
  • Supervisory experience
  • Capable of working with minimum supervision
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in purchasing and ordering on SAP
  • Proven experience with Computer Maintenance Management Software.
