We are looking for a talented Research and Development Scientist who is passionate about food technology to help us to develop next generation production processes and deliver inventive new products.

The role holder will work with our creative team to develop our innovative products across a wide spectrum of food categories, evaluating alternative processing methods, developing new ingredients, molecules and process through to testing in factory trials. Liaising with 3rd party research associates and ingredient and/or technology providers, this role will offer the ability to be at the forefront of vegan and vegetarian food development.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold an postgraduate degree in a food science subject.
- Demonstrate significant experience in food, drink or chemical manufacturing.
- Have experience in manipulating food based molecules such as hydrocolloids and proteins with key unit operations such as heat processing and freezing (extensive wet chemistry knowledge and application of food protein gelation would be advantageous).
- Have experience of managing projects.
- Demonstrate a high level of technical and scientific report writing skills.
