It is now well established that excessive meat consumption and its intensive production are significant contributors to this situation. We want to help consumers in developed countries find ways to reduce meat consumption by 50% by 2050, in line with scientific evidence from experts (IPCC/WRI).

Reducing our environmental impact

We don’t start where everyone else does with protein production – and we’re proud about that. Rather than use animals, we use fermenters to grow and harvest the protein. This natural process makes our protein production much better for the environment, as it is more water efficient, produces less Greenhouse Gas Emissions, and takes less land.

Sustainable Palm Oil

Palm oil is a versatile ingredient that’s good to use because it only needs half the land of other oil producing crops. But in some parts of the world, illegal and irresponsible palm oil practices are a clear driver of deforestation, social conflicts and human rights issues. This cannot be allowed to continue.
