We’re honoured to win two awards, "Environmental Leadership" and "Food Waste Initiative", at the Food & Drink Federation FDF Awards 2025.
"Environmental Leadership" celebrated our success in embedding sustainability into every employee’s personal development goals. This has brought about multiple achievements across the business, from optimizing infrastructure to save 167,000 kWh annually in IT, reducing plastic and improving recyclability, targeting 98% in Packaging to cutting energy use by 3,000 MWh year-over-year in Operation and integrating sustainability into financial planning.
Above and beyond these tangible benefits, what is so important is the culture of sustainability that our business has created and nurtured, with every person in the business driving towards our ambition of “Healthy Food for People and Planet”.
“Food Waste Initiative” commended our cross-functional working group, who have made our food redistribution programme more streamlined and impactful. Established only in July last year, the group helped reducing warehouse food waste by 46% per tonne year-on-year and achieving a 17% absolute reduction since 2019, while doubling Quorn’s food donation target to provide two million nutritious portions of protein to people in need globally.
This external recognition has reaffirmed the importance and success of our Net Positive journey and given us motivation to move the dial further.
