- Preheat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas Mark 7
- To make the batter, sieve the flour, black pepper, baking powder, xantham and salt into a bowl. Beat in the eggs one by one and add the milk little by little to form a smooth paste. Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour
- Preheat the vegetable oil in a shallow roasting tin and cook the Quorn Sausages and onion in the oven for 5-10 minutes until starting to brown
- Pour the batter over and cook for 20 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 200C and cook for a further 15 minutes
For a lunchtime treat, why not bake the batter in a shallow rectangle, fry the sausages and roll into a toad in the roll?
