UniQuorns with Salt and Pepper Chips and Sweet and Sour Sauce

Ingredients
- Quorn UniQuorns - Vegan Unicorn Nuggets
- For the Salt & Pepper Chips:
- 0.5 tsp MSG (or salt)
- 0.5 tsp white pepper
- 0.25 tsp Chinese 5-spice
- 0.25 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- Oven chips
- Half an onion – cut into small slices
- Half a green pepper – cut into small slices
- For the Sweet & Sour Sauce:
- 0.25 cup pineapple juice
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 0.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 tbsp cornflour mixed with 0.5 tbsp water
Method
- Pop the oven chips & UniQuorns in the oven according to the packet instructions.
- Mix the MSG, white pepper, Chinese 5-spice, garlic powder & chilli flakes together.
- Add a splash of oil to a wok and fry the onions and green peppers until softened and starting to brown.
- Throw the cooked chips in the wok, add the salt & pepper seasoning and toss to coat evenly.
- Meanwhile, Add the pineapple juice, brown sugar, white vinegar, ketchup and soy sauce to a pan and bring to a simmer. Add the cornflour slurry and whisk together until the sauce is nice and thick.
- Serve up the UniQuorns on top of the salt & pepper chips with some sweet & sour sauce.
- Enjoy!
